Cowes Week 2022

In Cowes Week 2022 Cowes Town Regatta Committee ran racing for White Group classes from the Royal Yacht Squadron line on Friday 5th August. Racing was on a 5 minute start sequence starting with Quarter Ton Class and finishing with the XOD Class. The results can be found on the official Cowes Week website and several can be found here on the Class Results page.

In 2022 Cowes Town Regatta ran the final Friday in conjunction with the Royal Southern Yacht Club. Starting 9 White group classes from the Royal Yacht Squadron line with the rest of the competitors starting from three Committee Vessel lines. In contrast, most of the fleets were finished on the Royal Yacht Squadron Line by the Cowes Town Regatta Team, making a great final day spectacle to the weeks sailing!

In 2022 the committee were pleased to award the John Dudley Memorial Trophy to the Sonata class. John a former Chairman of Cowes Town Regatta was an owner of a Sonata he frequently sailed in Cowes. His wife Jenny presented this award at the main Cowes Week awards ceremony shortly after the Fridays sailing finished.
